Michael Bay’s ‘The Island’

I haven’t seen ‘War of the Worlds’ but as far as I’m concerned the next big movie to come out will be Michael Bay’s action film (not produced by Bruckheimer (sp) ) which comes out July 22nd.

Here is the plot synapsis from darkhorizons.com:

Plot: Lincoln Six-Echo (McGregor) is a resident of a seemingly utopian but contained facility in the mid-21st century. Like all of the inhabitants of this carefully controlled environment, Lincoln hopes to be chosen to go to the “The Island” – reportedly the last uncontaminated spot on the planet. But Lincoln soon discovers that everything about his existence is a lie. He and all of the other inhabitants of the facility are actually human clones whose only purpose is to provide “spare parts” for their original human counterparts. Realizing it is only a matter of time before he is “harvested,” Lincoln makes a daring escape with a beautiful fellow resident named Jordan Two-Delta (Johansson). Relentlessly pursued by the forces of the sinister institute that once housed them, Lincoln and Jordan engage in a race for their lives to literally meet their makers.

I’m excited about Bay’s new movie…though I do hope that without Jerry Bruckheimer (again sp) Bay can make another amazing action movie, since it seems he is the only one still making them anymore.
The cast seems like its a really good one to, here is some of them:

Cast: Ewan McGregor, Scarlett Johansson, Djimon Hounsou, Steve Buscemi, Sean Bean, Michael Clarke Duncan…

Scarlett Johansson looks hot as hell in this movie and I can’t wait till it comes out, here are some pics from it:

Here is Michael Bay talking to his cast:

I’m really excited about this film, I love Michael Bay’s movies from his first to his most recent: Bay Boys, The Rock, Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, and Bad Boys II. I trust that Michael Bay has made a great film that will live up to everything that we’ve come to entrust him to be able to make.

I’ll be there on the 22nd…I hope…

PS Michael Bay has been rumored to be linked up with the live action film based on The Transformers. I had some pics from it on my computer at home, but not at work. Oh well. Maybe I’ll try and post some of it up later.

I haven’t heard about this movie until you posted this. However, I can’t wait until it comes out..it seems like this movie has a defined plot with excellent characters. This will be the first movie I’ve seen since Ocean’s 12 (and that was the only other movie I’ve seen in the past year and a half…)~EMK

First movie since you’ve seen Ocean’s 12? Now that deserves a big WOW. You’ve been that busy huh? Last movie I saw was Batman Begins, and before that was Star Wars III, and before that…I don’t know, but I know it wasn’t that far behind.

Yeah, The Island sounds really good, and I’m so excited about seeing it. I hope it doesn’t suck. It has had a very slow build up in comercials and should get even more once Fantastic Four is out in theaters with nothing else in its way.

    Good hearing from you.

Wow…heard about this one from somewhere, maybe when seeing Star Wars. Looks great, I’d like to see this one too.

Almost mistook the lead actress for Tara Reid. Hotness.

Yeah, Scarlette Johanson does not look like the same girl that was in Lost in Translation. She seems to be doing well for herself. For some reason I keep mistaking her for Jessica Alba everytime I see pictures…she’s hot too…but…I guess they both have movies coming out in July.

Ever see Lost in Translation, its good, not great, but good…yeah that’s her. I thought she was cute in Lost in Translation but she fucking hot in The Island; definately a movie I would like to see when it comes out.

    Wow is definately right.

    Ohh yeah! She’s hot.

She was also in Home Alone 3…I never saw it though.

Did you know that there was another Home Alone after 3…I believe it was a Disney movie. 20th Century Fox I think sold it to Disney and they made Home Alone 4: Taking Back the House (or something like that). Check it out on IMDB.com and tell me if I’m right. I believe it follows the Kevin character from the first two movies.
