Forget the Christmas list

I’ll buy this one when it comes out. Batman Begins will be coming out on DVD in October and like the Borg from Star Trek, I will be adding it to my collection on the 18th.

From Darkhorizons.com comes the DVD details, here they are:

Rope of Silicon reports that Warner Bros. Pictures are set to release this year’s critically-acclaimed and highly successful hit “Batman Begins” for release on retail DVD this coming October 18th. The film has just passed the $200 million mark at the US box-office ($360m worldwide) and is currently the third highest grossing flick of the year as well as having displayed the “most longevity of all the summer tent poles” according to Box-Office Mojo.

The film will be available in three different disc formats. For the cheap ass there’s two single-disc editions in widescreen and full screen.

For the proper DVD collector’s there’s a two-disc deluxe set containing no less than eight documentaries covering the production, the batsuit, the batmobile, the monorail chase, shooting in Iceland, fighting and a look at incarnations of the Batman over the past 20 years.

There’s also featurettes on the characters and weapons, an interactive comic book, a stills gallery, trailer and a special collectible 72-page comic.

Each edition will present the film in anamorphic widescreen (2.40:1) with English and French Dolby Digital 5.1 audio. Oddly enough the price difference is minimal (RRP $29 vs. $31) although both versions are already available for pre-order on Amazon for just $16.

Very exciting, I love DVDs, and especially DVDs with extras and shit in them, fun fun fun and AND!!! especially DVDs to movies that I thought were awesome.

Can’t wait till this one comes out.

They always did. When Batman Forever came out it broke some box office records, but in order for them to get more money fast they pump it out onto tape (or now DVD). Actually its the only movie from June that is still out in the theaters and still actually making money.

Besides, the faster they get it out onto DVD the more people will buy them because it is still fresh in their minds.

Yeah, I’ll forget that I wanted it…hahaha or actually be even less willing to dish out the money for the two disc one.

Yeah, there are a lot of dvds that if they just came out with the special edition first I would have picked it up, but nooooooo! they came out with it later. Like I, Robot, I wanted a special edition of it, but they didn’t have it, it came out this summer as opposed to last fall. But I’m not dishing out another twenty bucks for the same movie. Fuck that. As far as I’m concerned you had one chance for me to buy the DVD, I didn’t have to buy it at all, but I wanted to give you the benifit of the doubt and you FAILED ME!!!!

I’ve said my piece. But I do not speak any lies. 😛
