Things I’ve been forgetting to post…

Just some random things:

We saw Dark Water about two weeks ago, nothing special, Jennifer Connelly is hot, but this movie was ok, six out of ten stars, nothing special at all. It reminded me of a twilight zone episode.

I’ve been reading a lot this year so far, or at least trying too, I finished James Patterson’s Mary Mary, it was good, not great, better then London Bridges (last years book) which was too over the top, but not as good as lets say Pop Goes the Weasel. Odd titles I know, but if you read the books you would understand. I’ve read seven out of the eleven books that James Patterson has that follows Detective (and now FBI agent) Alex Cross, played by Morgan Freeman in the movies (Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls). Melissa has always told me that the first two books (the two that have been made into movies) were the best out of the bunch.

I also read Forgiven, by former WWF, WCW and TNA wrestling writer Vince Russo. Great book. Not your typical wrestling bio since first of all it was written by the person and also because it isn’t one of the cookie cutter bios that WWE tends to put out. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested. Along with the first Mick Foley biography, he actually has two of them, and the Ric Flair bio, which I flew through, I bought it the week in between me moving out of the dorm and back home for about four days and then moving into the aparment, I misplaced the book only to find it in November and finish it in four days. That was a really good WWE bio.

I am now on my third book (out of four) from Christmas, The Shawn Michael’s Story another WWE bio. Its slow, not as easy to get into as Ric Flair’s, but it isn’t bad. Hulk Hogan’s was bad, I could not for the life of me get into that damn book. I’ve tried a few times, but it was just terrible.

After that I have The Historian, about vampires, namely the one that Vlad the Impaler is named after, Dracula. My father got that one for me for Christmas. Then after that I have a shit load of books that I’ve been collecting, ok lets see:

Newly purchased:
Guns, Germs and Steel
Collapse
The Island at the Center of the World

Bought a few months ago:
1776
Under the Black Flag (a history of pirates)
Secret Societies
The Rule of Four
Schlock Value (given to me by one of my students for Christmas)
Cool Million: How to Become a Million-Dollar Screenwriter (also given to me by the same student)–maybe I should speed this one up huh?

Started reading:
Tales From Development Hell
Deception Point
Digital Fortress
Pompeii

Books I would like to buy:
The Dante Club
Ghost Ship
Lost Secrets of the Sacred Ark
The Pirate Coast
Cell The Novel by Stephen King

So as you can see, I have a shit load of reading that I would like to get done, and I’m trying my hardest to read during my sub time.

Wish me luck.

When you have nothing better to do and you don’t have a computer in front of you, its so easy. That’s why when I work I make sure I have a book. Because when I get home I have not only Melissa and the Buns, but I have the computer, and tv competing for my time.

Yes, you don’t read enough for a librarian’s son!

I see…yeah, the last time I read was on the commute to school (when I wasn’t listening to music).

Good call on having a book at all times…makes perfect sense now, thanks.

You know, I don’t think my mom minds anymore…LOL

She got used to it I guess.

The problem up until now with the books was that I would just buy them and not read them, now I’m going to try and read a lot on my off time…

I don’t know why, I like keeping them around, kind of like a hunter would with all the heads of the animals that he’s killed, I’ve slayed these books look at what I’ve done.

every now and then I lone one out to someone. DaVinci being the most lent book in Marcos history (notice how I used my own name with that…)

Hey, that’s cool…so when you and Melissa move into a large house, you can have a library room and put all of the books in there.

I’ve got this mental picture of you in Masterpiece Theater. 🙂

    hahaha! funny!

I’m reading a good book right now, I bought it because it is a non fiction book, and while I’m writing a script I don’t want to read a fiction novel and get torn at the direction of the story that I am currently writing. So I’m reading about something that is the complete opposite of the story that I am writing.

Hey, that’s a good idea…never thought about that kind of thing, but it makes perfect sense.

Here’s my mental picture of you:

    😀

this is true…there are times when I am subbing that I feel my eyes start moving like that….it would explain why the kids usually laugh…
