Saturday Night’s Main Event Returns

I never watched Saturday Night’s Main Event, it was before my time as a wrestling fan. I’ve only heard of it and now its returning:

From WWE.com:

Saturday Night’s Main Event tickets on sale soon
January 25, 2006

After a 13-year absence, Saturday Night’s Main Event returns to NBC March, 18, as a two-hour primetime special. In the mid-1980s through early 1990s, WWE fans would scour the television listings each month — making sure they didn’t miss the highly anticipated special that replaced network staple Saturday Night Live on occasion. On each episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE fans knew they would be given a pay-per-view feel on free newtwork television.

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of history as Saturday Night’s Main Event returns. Here’s the ticket information:

WHAT: The return of Saturday Night’s Main Event
WHEN: March 18, 2006
ON-SALE: Feb. 11, 2006, at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Cobo Arena in Detroit

Exciting, I’ll make sure to watch it, or at least read the spoilers. I can’t see them not making a good show, and also, I can’t see it being a Smackdown show since Smackdown is on UPN (soon to be CW) and that would be competing with NBC, so I see it being a Raw brand show or even a joint production of the two.
