Daniel Craig was stunned by the backlash of him being James Bond

Have you looked at yourself in the mirror sir?

From IMDB.com:

Craig Stunned by Backlash

New James Bond star Daniel Craig has been stunned by the bitter backlash he has received since replacing Pierce Brosnan as the secret agent last year. Craig, whose first appearance as James Bond will be in Casino Royale, was disheartened when thousands of fans called on film-makers Eon to ditch him and bring back Brosnan – claiming the Munich star was “too ugly” for the role. The 38-year-old star says, “I didn’t expect this backlash. You take it in, you can’t help it. I’ve been trying to give 110 per cent since the beginning but after all the fuss, maybe I started giving 115 per cent.”

Since we have no other choice, don’t mess up James Bond you beast!

Goddammit! The fans are right! You suck, dude-that-doesn’t-look-remotely-like-James-Bond!

C’mon, he has two first names. That’s gotta count for something.

    You’re right, though, Marcos…bah!

This has still yet to change, and I think we’ll still be having this conversation when the next bond movie comes out in 08…

this is like the forth time that I write James Bong not Bond and have to go back and retype it…

I know! They did the same thing to George Clooney when they signed him for Batman and Robin, and they never made the fifth movie. George Clooney didn’t care, he thinks (and pretty much did) kill off the first franchise.

nope! he was terrible. So was Schwartzeneger! They should have gotten Patrick Stewart to play Mr. Freeze and made the role a serious one, because Mr. Freeze was supposed to be heartless and cold and wouldn’t make stupid one liner jokes.

  5. flammable says:

You know, Patrick Stewart can bring credibility to any villain.

I think those Batman movies were too campy. Is that the right word for it? Like, they really, really attempted to do that Adam West-type of thing but tried too hard.
