Weird movie rumor of the Day

This one is about Dakota Fanning…

I first saw it on Darkhorizons.com and then on IMDB.com:

Fanning Hoping ‘Hounddog ‘Will Win Her an Oscar

Child actress Dakota Fanning is set to shock fans in new movie Hounddog, because she has shot child rape scenes and appears semi-naked. The controversial film written and directed by Deborah Kampmeier is a dark and violent story set in American’s rural south – and the 12-year-old’s mother and agent are convinced her gritty performance is Oscar-worthy. Agent Joy Osbrink tells the New York Daily News, “It’s not just the rape scene – the whole story is challenging Dakota as an actress. And I’ve never been so proud of her in my life. I’ve seen the dailies, and in every scene she gets better and better.”

Very weird, I don’t know if I like that…maybe someone should show her The Good Son, with Macaulay Culkin (he did it when he was like 10, 11, or 12 years old and it deals with him being an evil child who killed his little sister and terrorizes some people, and it did not help his carrier at all.

He also wasn’t the best of actors….

  1. Meh. I was forced to see Dreamer on a bus trip, it sucked. And Dakota Fanning didn’t help it at all.

Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I really don’t like horses…

  2. I don’t like horses either, but remind me to tell you why and I will, maybe I’ll even post a blog about it…

what’s dreamer? and why were you on a bus trip?

  3. Cool, a rant.

Dreamer’s a horse movie. About a race horse that’s really good, then gets hurt…and they want to kill it! And this little girl’s dad is in charge of the horse, and quits his job to take care of the horse, and they heal the horse, and oh my god, the horse gets better, then races, and there’s this mean horse in the race, and I’m not telling you how it ends because you’ll have to see it for yourself.

It’s a kids movie, and it’s doubly annoying because I don’t like horses. So there. The only way it could be worse is it it were animated, and the horse talked.

For some reason Greyhound Bus decided it would be great to play the movie on their busses. I was heading to Connecticut in June for this graduation thing…it’s like a high school reunion they do. You just come to the senior graduation. It’s pretty cool.

  4. If you want a cool horse like movie watch Racing Stripes. Its a cheesy little movie, but for some reason its a guilty pleasure of mine. Its about a Zebra that falls off of the circus wagon when it is very little and a family finds it and names it Stripes and the Zebra when its older decides that it wants to race with horses in races.

Obviously a childrens movie, but I like it. in my old age I’ve decided that even movies like that can be good to watch too.
