Remember a few years back, I posted a video on youtube with Peanut opening his cookie container? Well, checking to see if it was still up, I am reminded that when we changed over all the blog entries from the livejournal blog to this blog, none of the youtube video links stayed, so, I’ll just have to post both!

But I’ll post them in reverse order.

Not too long after his surgery, we had to limit Peanut’s rabbit food intake. Whereas we used to give him plenty of rabbit pellets, now we can only give him a small amount. So, whenever he can, if the container holding all of his food is on the floor, he’ll rush over and open it up and start eating. Here is the video:

Along with limiting his pellet intake, we no longer give him the cookies that were made famous in this video, which was posted on youtube way back in Oct. of 2006. Enjoy:

Today marks the second time that Cassie has seen her doggie Mommy, as we so like to call her, Kowliga. Back in early March (the 6th, there was still snow on the ground) she saw her for the first time since late September when Cassie came home with us. On that day I used my cell phone and recorded four seperate videos (the second one had Kowliga’s owner telling the story of Cassie’s birth–she was the runt of the litter). If you have trouble telling who is who, Cassie is the lighter of the two dogs.

Today, I simply took some pics, here are a few of them:

I think I’ve been waiting since the summer of 1989 for news about this. Its not 100% official, but they’ve been talking about it for a while, I may have even posted something about it not too long ago. But it sounds good.

I just hope they don’t go with the “all female” cast like Dan Aykroyd mentions in the full article. I wouldn’t mind one or two girls on the team. But I really see this as a way to get a new generation of comedians in for a great movie in the Ghostbusters world.

Ghostbusters 3 Starts Filming this Winter?

The Los Angeles Times talked to Dan Aykroyd about Ghostbusters 3 that is in development at Columbia Pictures. Here are several excerpts:

Aykroyd said Sigourney Weaver is on board now, as are the original squad of ectoplasmic specialists — Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson.

“We could be in production by winter.”

Aykroyd said he wishes Ivan Reitman would return to direct the third film in the series but that he’s “too busy as a mega-producer” to take it on; his second choice is Ramis, who, of course, co-wrote the first two “Ghostbusters” films with Aykroyd and has numerous directing credits, most notably “Groundhog Day” and “Analyze This.”

The details of story are still in play, but Aykroyd said he’s hoping for a five-member “new generation” team with several female members. “I’d like it to be a passing-of-the-torch movie. Let’s revisit the old characters briefly and happily and have them there as family but let’s pass it on to a new generation.”

Its exciting finally seeing something come out of this. It really has been on the table off the table, and for a while I was content with not ever seeing it (I just honestly hope they don’t pull a “Crystal Skull” and suck it up with a sequel) I am really excited at the prospect of seeing something new. I remember as far back as the mid-90′s hearing that Aykroyd wanted to see Chris Farely and Will Smith as Ghostbusters (Smith ultimately went to Men In Black which is a Ghostbusters-esque film series). I can only hope they do a good job about it.

I will say, that the proposed Ghostbusters 3 storyline, written by Dan Aykroyd and Harrold Ramis seems to have moved over into the Ghostbusters video game that is coming out next month and looks amazing! The story always involved (rumor has it) that our world and the ghost world start colliding and the Ghostbusters have to save the world. Here is the trailer for the video game:
