One Reason Why You Should Carry a Camera

Melissa sent me an e-mail today called “Reasons why you should carry a camera”, while I thought they were all pretty funny pics of animals doing funny things, this one stood out to me, so enjoy:

Hell in a Cell PPV

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

OK, so its been a while and I probably should have purchased them a while ago, but I just bought some tickets for the WWE Pay-Per-View (PPV) Hell in a Cell that will be at The Prudential Center (AKA The Rock) in Newark, NJ which will air live on Sunday October 4th.  We’ll be in the nose bleed section, but at the same time we’re going to be seeing some Hell in a Cell matches.

I personally have never seen a live Hell in a Cell match so this should be fun and I can’t wait.

I’ll update the blog as matches start to pop up for the Pay Per View.

The Rise & Fall of WCW DVD

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

wcw

This DVD came out today and I would love to pick it up within the next month or so. I have WWE’s “The Rise & Fall of ECW” and if WCW documentary is nearly as good as the ECW one then this will be a great DVD.

I got into WCW (as much as one could get into the WCW product) towards the very end, but I enjoyed what I saw. I mean, I ripped it when I saw crap and I praised it when I saw gold (like the cruiserweights in their only shinning moment, not like they were treated in WWE as lighter heavyweights, or the joke that the X-Division has become in TNA). And I’ve only seen bits and pieces of WCW on any WWE DVD. They had one, ONE!, ladder match on the Ladder Match dvd, and it was pretty entertaining. I don’t buy everything that the WWE puts out, but the things I have purchased usually, and rightfully so, sway towards the WWE product. But, I’d enjoy to see something that wasn’t produced by WWE every now and then. Its the same reason why I watch TNA from time to time. If the WWE product is a little stale, I don’t have that many other places to go for anything different. And, like most people think, I feel that not having the competition like they once did is truly hurting the product.

I can’t wait to see this DVD documentary, I’m disappointed that Eric Bishoff did not do any commentary on it. I did enjoy, and have a copy of “The Monday Night Wars” dvd that came out a couple of years ago, but thought that it was a good attempt at what could have been a great documentary. So, I’m putting my eggs in the Rise and Fall of WCW basket, hoping that it doesn’t disappoint.

I don’t remember watching the final match that they placed on the DVD, I don’t want to knock Lance Storm, he was and is a tremendous performer, but I’m shocked that they ended with a Nitro match with Booker T vs Lance Storm and not something more definitive. Maybe I need to watch the documentary and see if there is a reason why chose that one, or perhaps they just figured it was a good place to stop.

 nwo-2

It will also be interesting to see who comments back at what is mentioned here. Judging by the commercials that were on during Raw they rip into the top three guys that are usually blamed for the fall of WCW (Eric Bichoff, Vince Russo and Kevin Nash). I’d be interested in hearing their point of views on this DVD.

Leave comments here, if you’ve seen the DVD, leave a review.

PS is it just me or is the belt that Hogan is holding upside down?

Jessica Biel Is The Most Dangerous Star To Search Online

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

And we thought she was a bad ass in Blade Trinity? Movie sucked, but she kicked some ass in it, Ryan Renolds was funny in it and Triple H as a vampire was good too. Anyway…

 Jessica20Biel

From IMDB.com:

Jessica Biel fans beware – she has been named as the most dangerous star on the internet.

Devotees to the Blade Trinity actress are more likely to end up falling victim to spyware and virus threats on their PCs while searching for information on the beauty more than any other celebrity.

According to online security company McAfee Inc., fans ‘Googling’ the actress have a one-in-five chance of ending up at a site that can damage their computer.

However, Biel is in good company – Hollywood heavyweight Brad Pitt was branded the most dangerous celebrity online in the same poll last year.

A spokesman for McAfee explains, “Cybercriminals are star watchers, too. They latch onto popular celebrities to encourage the download of malicious software in disguise.”

Other ‘dangerous’ stars include Beyonce Knowles, Jennifer Aniston, Tom Brady and Jessica Simpson. »

By the way, I am not one of those sites that attaches spyware or anything like that. So, don’t worry.

Cell Pic of the Day 8/24/09: DX

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

Degeneration X, or more like Triple H and Shawn Michaels, made their return last Monday and wrestled at Sunday’s Summerslam PPV, but it was last night where they ripped on Vince on his 84th, no wait, 74th…er, 64th birthday party…I actually enjoyed that opening segment.

Yes, this is a picture of my TV that I took while watching RAW.
