Terminator’s new home and thoughts

The Terminator series is one, like Die Hard, Back to the Future and Pirate of the Caribbean, that I hold dear. I’m sure I’m missing a series or two, but for some reason, and I believe I was having a conversation with someone (I want to say it was Adam, who just watched Terminator Salvation about a week or so ago) how when asked about my favorite movies (or series) I almost never say Terminator. I think maybe because in my mind, the Terminator series has been held back by how amazing T2 was. I mean, even the show (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) took place directly after the events from T2, they didn’t even mention anything from T3.

But, I will say that like the other series I mentioned above, the Terminator franchise is one that I find to be very inspiring. I mean, I based a short script on the idea of “Embrace the Paradox”. The script had nothing to do with anything Terminator, simply time travel and the paradoxes that come from traveling through time. Whenever I’m in the mood to get inspired, I watch a movie that is very similar to what I am trying to write.

Now, I love the second one, I feel like that hit every nail on the head, it was close to perfection, if only the third one was actually written and directed by James Cameron, that would have given the series probably its best ending. Which I guess we’ll never see, but I’m fine with the way it has progressed.

The series has moved past part three and part four and now with the rights going to this company called Pacificor LLC I hope that we will see a continuation of the series from where Salvation left off. I hope that they continue to honor what has been set up prior to their purchase and not remaking or doing anything to tarnish what has been work on so tirelessly by a number of very talented individuals.

So, if I can get off of my soap box for a moment, in plain english, simply put, DON’T MESS IT UP, PACIFICOR!

Pacificor would be a cool name for a new Terminator or something…I don’t know, just saying…

Anyway, the following is an article about Pacificor and how they have just gotten representation, from comingsoon.net:
