Back to the Future back in theaters?

Cos

When I first saw the heading on the following article, my heart stopped for a moment. I was dreading that they would be remaking this classic that I hold so near and dear to my heart. But, alas! They are not…it is simply returning to the theaters for its 25th anniversary with a fully remastered copy.

Comingsoon.net has the article:

AMC Theaters has alerted ComingSoon.net that to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Back to the Future, AMC is going to be holding two special screenings of the digitally remastered original on 158 screens across 40 cities.

The screenings will be held Saturday, October 23rd at 12:30 p.m. and Monday, October 25th at 7:00 p.m. (the night Marty McFly went back in time).

All guests will receive a full-sized poster commemorating the 25th anniversary limited release of the movie with their ticket purchase, while supplies last. Each theater will also have special movie-related giveaways prior to the movie as a part of the experience.

More information about the event can be found here or on the image below!

I for one would love to go see it in the theater. I missed the first one in the theater, seeing that I was three years old. I remember the second two being in the  theater but never went to see it. I’d love the chance to see one of these viewings, even though I probably know all the lines by heart. I can’t believe its been out for 25 years!

I don’t think so, I mean they’ve played all three of the extended editions of The Lord of the Ring at a time in theaters and those things run three hours plus! So, that would actually be awesome! I wouldn’t mind that at all!
