Is it possible that joblo.com has gotten the plot to the next Transformers movie? We shall see when it is released next summer huh?

Transformers: The Dark of the Moon plot detailed with book synopsis

by: Paul Tassi Oct. 21, 2010

Well it gave us the subtitle, and now the book adaptation of TRANSFORMERS: THE DARK OF THE MOON is telling us the story as well, at least part of it. What’s going to motivate the giant robots to crash into each other this time?

“The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s ‘Transformers Revenge of the Fallen’. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime ‘Transformers’ character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.”

A space race, huh? Between the US and Russia? I seem to recall what appeared to be some retro shots in Washington DC, with a decades old convertible and a JFK stand-in. Are we sure this isn’t just a flashback?

In any case, perhaps we’re doing Space Race Part Deux for this film, which is sad because I wish we’d do it in real life. But actual war is the new Cold War I guess, and I’ll be dead before we get to Mars.

But yeah, this also confirms Shockwave will be the the film. The only thing I can remember him transforming into was a gun or a battleship, but perhaps they’ll make him a space shuttle or something similarly relevant this time around. A GM branded space shuttle of course.

Extra Tidbit: No more secret transforming human robots please, that Battlestar Galactica shit has no place here.
