The Mother Brain Files: Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade: The Movie?!
By Mother Brain

The first thing I do when I get up in the morning is check out all the movie news websites like comingsoon.net and aintitcoolnews.com to see what upcoming film projects are in the works. Of course in the last several months, I find myself wanting to pull my hair when I hear about the worst ideas coming out of Hollywood from a remake of Lethal Weapon to Channing Tatum’s Peter Pan Begins. But when I read this very article about a film being proposed about the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, I completely lost it. It’s like a crackhead taking desperate measures for a hit and this is no exception.

So why on earth is this being considered? Well Toy Story 1-3 proved that kids love seeing toys come to life and Night at the Museum proved that historical figures and extinct animals can be hip when they come alive. But this and other dumbass movie ideas like film adaptations of View-Finder, Quija, and even the motherf’n Magic 8 ball prove that Hollywood is having it’s own gas shortage because they’re afraid to try new ideas. Movie executives who know movies are not calling the shots anymore. Their places of employment are just smaller subdivisions of massive global multimedia conglomerates who only care about profits regardless of pleasing an audience. Check out the article about the parade flick from MTV below. At this rate, Hollywood might as well make a movie about Mark Walberg’s third nipple with the ability to speak.
