American Pie Reunion?

Cos

This has been rumored for years, I mean, they missed the 10 year reunion thing back in 2009, but seeing that “American Wedding” seemingly takes place after the characters are out of college, then I guess we can suspend disbelief. I’m actually looking forward to this, I can’t see this being a bad movie, I just hope they get everyone back for it.

I was a huge, HUGE, fan of the original “American Pie“, which came out in 1999. I remember trying to buy it on DVD when it came out, which if anyone can remember, DVD was still in its infancy at that point in time and DVDs were so expensive. I think I paid between $26 and $29 dollars on that stupid thing. I think if they had a triple disc of American Pie 1, 2 and Wedding, I doubt it would cost anywhere near that amount. Crazy how times have changed.

Anyway, official word is that Jason Biggs, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy are all back for the next theatrical release (not to be confused with the direct-to-DVD pieces of crap that I’ve never bothered to see) and they are hoping to get more of the original cast back for this one. All I can say is this: what are any of them actually doing, other than rehab, that they couldn’t possibly make an appearance in this movie. Only person that has continued on with their career (that had started well before the release of the original movie) was Alyson Hannigan who was apart of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” series and can now be seen on “How I Met Your Mother”. But she would be integral to the story seeing that the entire series is based on Biggs’ character Jim in a relationship with her.
