Netflix stops plans of splitting DVD and Streaming services

Netflix continues its sporadic plan changes today as word off of CEO’s Reed Hastings’ Blog that they have halted the splitting DVD and Streaming services. I mentioned back on September 19th that Netflix was splitting the two services (Netflix splitting DVD service, will add video games) one would continue to be Netflix (the on-line streaming) and the other, the newly named Qwikster (the DVD service) would be taking over. I guess there was enough of an outcry (including a lot from me!) that they have decided to stop the plans.

No word on if they are going to keep the video game option or not. That was the only thing I didn’t have an issue with.
