Procedure to turn Brown Eyes into Blue Eyes?

Trying to keep this Blog open to all sorts of articles and postings I try to change things up whenever I can and I hope it shows. I just saw this article today come fromĀ Discovery and it is pretty shocking. The procedure is still in the testing phase as it has been for the last 20 years. Originating from an idea from a visit to a dermatologist office, the inventor of this procedure, Gregg Homer, went on to continue his research.

Brown to Blue Eyes

After all these years they have a procedure in place in Costa Rica with about 37 human subjects who have all had one eye treated with no adverse effects. The only question now is this a procedure that will have long term effects, like Glaucoma? To answer that question will take time.

I just think its surprising that in the future you will be able to completely alter something as genetic as eye color (and not just from a contact lens). Only time will tell with this one.
