And I loved it!
It wasn’t as good as the first one, but its the Empire Strikes Back or Back to the Future 2 or Matrix: Reloaded of the Pirate series; and I understand its place. And most importantly, I accept it.
Great movie. Great fun. The beginning was long, but once Davey Jones pops up the movie soars into where it should be.
Pirates is now my favorite film of the summer (as if there was ever a doubt). I give it 9 stars out of 10, simply because its peeked my interest and I will be there next year for the third part.
I’ll be posting a longer review later.

Awesome!! Empire was my favorite, so I can’t wait to see this one. 😀
I bet nobody liked Empire when it came out, anyway. Crappy reviewers.
yeah, my mom never liked it until she saw the three of them together. I also didn’t like Matrix: Reloaded, but seeing Matrix: Revolutions didn’t help me with the series, it was lost. The Matrix still stands alone by itself waiting for real sequels to come into existence.
Right. If the Wachowskis got everyone together and made two new sequels, maybe I’ll forgive them.
yes! you are so right about that. I want alternate Matrix sequels.
If I were to make an alternative sequel, I would start with Alien 3, Predator 2, Star Wars Episode I (and II, maybe), Blade Trinity…I’ll come up with some more…
Definitely the Star Wars prequels. You forgot Episode III! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I liked III, the only part that I would change would be the NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO part. I would simply change it to ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG or something less 1940’s-1950’s
It’s just funny to hear James Earl Jones try to do that…hahahaha
It was silly. But you have to understand the source. Lucas was inspired by the serials that he saw as a kid and the whole star wars saga was an homage to it.
