I don’t know why I’ve become obsessed with this movie for some reason, but it looks like the rumor about Christian Bale being Robin Hood in this movie was erroneously given. Now we get some spoiler warnings for this one but its not anything that wouldn’t be given away in the trailer to the movie.

UPDATE! POSSIBLE MAJOR SPOILER!
I’ll tease you no more, as I’ve gotten another source to spill on the casting of Robin Hood: he’s Russell Crowe. And so is the Sherriff.
Yes, they’re the same guy.
I just spoke to an anonymous source who has read the current scriptment, and I’m told that while the concept is cool, there needs to be some writing done to make it all work out.
Like I said, it’s a whole different spin on the Robin Hood revisionism. I can’t wait to see how it’s all done.
Hmm. Interesting. But I don’t know how I feel about this. I would assume (and you all know what happens when you assume…) that it would be like the triangle love affair that Batman had with Nicole Kidman’s character Chase in Batman Forever where she was in love with Batman and not Bruce Wayne and didn’t know that he was both. But Robin Hood usually doesn’t have much of a costum so we’ll see. I think it would be wise to reinvent it with the Sheriff and Robin Hood as two different guys. But I’m not filmmaker visionary Ridley Scott, so we’ll see how it goes.
