For Christmas, Melissa and I decided that we needed to just get away from everything for a little bit and we choose to go on a cruise to nowhere. Tomorrow we’ll be going on the Norwegian cruise line ship, The Gem, pictured below:

We’ll be leaving from New York, heading out into international waters, sleeping the night and return on Sunday Morning. Not too much, but how many times can you say that you went away on a cruise ship for the weekend huh?

This won’t be the first time that Melissa and I were on a cruise. Back in 2004, Melissa and I with Evan went on the Norwegian Dawn for a whole week during spring break. It was a great trip, one that just happened to be just one year too early, because mention of it nor pictures ever made it onto the blog. So, better late than never,  here are some quick pics:
