I guess I have WWE on the mind. They do have their upcoming (and new) theme pay-per-view WWE Fatal 4-Way and I think that it is a great idea, I just think that it is the PPV with the least lead in to it since the WWE December to Dismember PPV back in 2006. Essentially, that was the PPV that not only got Paul Heyman fired, but also caused the brand split PPVs to become co-branded and forced the PPVs to now become themed. But, I’m not angry or anything…

Anyway, talking about themed PPVs based on matches, here is the name of an upcoming 3 disc DVD set that I would love to add to my collection, The Elimination Chamber.

I guess with the name of the match now the name of a PPV, they had to name the DVD something else, so they named it: “Satan’s Prison: The Elimination Chamber Anthology“. Unlike the “Hell in a Cell” DVD set (which I own) which also had a 3 disc set, but that set came out before they named a PPV Hell in a Cell (which I went too!). But no worries. It still has a home in my house.

I love these types of gimmick matches, I’ve been a fan of the Chamber since its debut in 2002. I only wish I was at the Garden when it was first introduced to see it live. I can only hope to be able to go to an Elimination Chamber PPV soon.
