Cos’ predictions:

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler
Interpromotional Singles match

I’m not really excited about this match because I see it as the beginning of the end to the mid card championships. But after having a huge “re”-debut at SummerSlam, I feel like on Raw, the WWE has gone out of their way to make Daniel Bryan look like a total ass. That’s just my opinion. Aside from taken Sheamus to the limit in a match a week or so ago, I just feel like they could have given him an awesome entrance theme. I feel like he needs to keep his momentum going. Dolph Ziggler made it an entire year without winning the IC belt, so a loss to Bryan won’t be bad.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Team Lay-Cool (Layla or Michelle McCool) (c) vs. Natalya Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship

I can’t see Lay-Cool loosing the championship just yet. Sorry Natalya.

Winners and still champions: Lay-Cool

Team SmackDown (Big Show (captain), Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Edge, Tyler Reks and Kofi Kingston vs. Team Raw (The Miz (captain), R-Truth, John Morrison, Santino Marella, Sheamus, CM Punk and Ezekiel Jackson)
14-man Interpromotional Elimination tag team match

I don’t feel like this match is necessary. What is at stake here really? A trophy? Most of these guys were on the opposing brand a year ago, or like Edge and CM Punk, two weeks ago! What would bring a lot of interest to this match would be if Husky Harris and Michael McGuilicutty joined Nexus and with Cena and Barret they turned this match into a 7-on 7-on 7 match. Neither team really needs to win. But if I had to pick a winner I’d go with…

Winners: Team Raw

Kane (c) (with Paul Bearer) vs. The Undertaker
Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship

My only issue with this is that where would it go from here if Kane was “buried alive”  (I’m honestly not even going to bring up the fact that two weeks ago they had Kane vs Taker in a Hell in a Cell match and HIAC used to end feuds…that’s all I’m saying). I can’t see them burying Kane. But, Undertaker has been buried alive and been placed in a casket. So, I can easily see this one going to Kane again.

Winner and still Champion: Kane

Randy Orton (c) vs. Wade Barrett (with John Cena)
Singles match for the WWE Championship

For the first time in a while I’m actually rooting for Cena, I want to see him beat on Barrett, I want to see this. The only way that can happen is if Barrett wins the WWE Championship and let’s face it, unfortunately for Jack Swagger, his World Heavyweight Championship was a joke, we need another first time World Champion this year, one that could actually sell tickets…even if it is to see him loose.

Winner and New WWE Champion: Wade Barrett

Mother Brain’s predictions:

Mother Brain’s WWE Bragging Rights Predictions

By Mother Brain

Between Hell in a Cell and this month’s PPV, I once again feel as if there’s been a lack of a buildup to the event. With the titles slowly unifying one by one, it makes the idea of brand vs. brand seem meaningless. Although there are a couple of good matches worth watching for. Without further ado:

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler
Interpromotional Singles match

Daniel Bryan is without a doubt defying the odds in WWE. He took the US title from Miz, successfully defended it at Hell in a Cell, and despite losing to Sheamus on last week’s Raw, Bryan took him to the limit. Dolph Ziggler is getting over well as IC champ and having solid matches night after night. I guarantee these two will have great chemistry in the ring. But I suspect this will be a relatively long feud which will result in the titles being unified. In other words, Ziggler gets the win with Vickie’s help.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Team Lay-Cool (Layla or Michelle McCool) (c) vs. Natalya Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship

Praise the Lord! Natalya gets to work again! I’m so sick and tired of the Lay-Cool gimmick. It makes the Sprit Squad look like Demolition. And after that annoying match with the head-mics as well as the recent mocking of the Hart family in recent weeks, I’d say Natalya’s time to shine is finally due.

Winner and new Diva’s Champ: Natalya

Team SmackDown (Big Show (captain), Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Edge, Tyler Reks and Kofi Kingston vs. Team Raw (The Miz (captain), R-Truth, John Morrison, Santino Marella, Sheamus, CM Punk and Ezekiel Jackson)
14-man Interpromotional Elimination tag team match

It’s nice to see Jackson on a PPV rather than the Kool-Aid man himself, Mark Henry (why are they so high on him?). I won’t go much into who eliminates who. But I do think both teams will have their share of tension and that will cause some guys to get eliminated and have their feuds continue into Survivor Series (Edge/Swagger, Mysterio/Del Rio, Morrison/Punk). With the Miz getting the biggest push of his career and Raw having lost in the match last year, I go with the Raw team with Miz squeaking the final pinfall and taking the credit away from either Morrison or Truth.

Winner: Team Raw

Kane (c) (with Paul Bearer) vs. The Undertaker
Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship

We’ve seen this scenario play out dozens of times now. Nothing new and nothing else to say. Undertaker ends the feud.

Winner: Undertaker

Randy Orton (c) vs. Wade Barrett (with John Cena)
Singles match for the WWE Championship

With all the drama of Cena joining Nexus, there’s two ways this match goes down. Unfortunately, neither involves a heel turn (I wish). First is Cena does something intentionally to distract Barrett and cost him the match. Second would be Cena costing Orton the match by mistake (perhaps a chairshot meant for Barrett that takes out Orton instead) and a triple threat match takes place for the title at Survivor Series. I doubt the company wants to take the belt off Orton too soon. I go with the Viper and then a staredown between Cena and Barrett (and maybe a Nexus beatdown in the process).

Winner: Randy Orton

Smark Central’s predictions:

Randy Orton (c) vs. Wade Barrett (with John Cena)
Singles match for the WWE Championship[4]
What I want to See: I’d like to see Barrett win clean because this company is seriously lacking credible heels right now
What Will Happen: Barrett will probably win w/help from Cena thus setting up the inevitable Cena Vs Barrett WWE title feud.

Team SmackDown (Big Show (captain), Rey Mysterio, Jack Swagger, Alberto Del Rio, Edge, Tyler Reks and Kofi Kingston vs. Team Raw (The Miz (captain), R-Truth, John Morrison, Santino Marella, Sheamus, CM Punk and Ezekiel Jackson)
14-man Interpromotional Elimination tag team match
What I want to see: If the WWE is intent on sticking w/this match concept I really think it should be moved to earlier in the year. No way this PPV should run 3 weeks before Survivor Series. I don’t care who wins bc this “feud” is pointless. Its the same fucking company yet they treat it like its some kind of competition. Only Vince McMahon is arrogant enough to create a phony competition to compensate for the lack of it.
What will happen: I’m going to say RAW wins so Miz can keep his momentum going.

Team Lay-Cool (Layla or Michelle McCool) (c) vs. Natalya Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship
What I want to see: Natalya finally getting her due
What will happen: Laycool retains bc the writing team is far from sick of the gimmick unlike the rest of us.

Kane (c) (with Paul Bearer) vs. The Undertaker
Buried Alive match for the World Heavyweight Championship
What I want to see: One last great match between these two and then have it be over with. Undertaker winning would be the proper end here.
What will happen: Taker usually loses Buried Alive matches so I assume that trend continues

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler
Interpromotional Singles match
What I want to see: A solid 20 min match that allows these guys to shine w/Bryan getting the win
What will happen: An ok 10 minute affair w/interference from Vickie and the Divas w/Bryan winning

Justice’s Predictions:

I would love to see Barrett go over Orton to keep the Nexus angle strong but think Orton retains

Team Smackdown will win to try and convince us to watch it… it wont work

Layla beats Natalya due to Michelle interfering

I want to see Bryan/Ziggler go a long time to show what these guys can do but I have a feeling Bryan wins a short but good match to keep his monentum

http://www.wrestlingvalley.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/Daniel-Bryan-defeated-The-Miz21.jpg

Kane vs. Taker is a toss-up to me actually… on one hand I feel like the WWE wants the title on the Undertaker now that they moved Smackdown to a new network but we all know he’s broken down. Kane wins… but somehow Taker gets his revenge on Kane

Chosen 1’s predictions

Orton vs. Barrett If the Nexus is to be able to maintain any credibility Barrett must either beat Orton or somehow have Nexus turn on Barrett in favor of Cena. In the end I gotta believe Orton maintains the belt.
Team Raw vs. Team Smackdown. Loved this idea back in the days of WCW War Games. Or original survivor series matches but this is just a match with basically no story line over a trophy that we see twice all year with 14 guys that they couldnt fit into the pay per view because the women’s title has to be defended once a month. I feel WWE has got to try to make smackdown “worth” watching and give them the win. I am going to say Edge and Miz are the last two with Edge getting the W. E-jack will have a good showing because they need us to remember who he is after being out for a while. Santino comedy routine at some point through the match probably eliminating himself.

Team Lay-cool Vs. Natalya Lay-cool retains the belts but we begin to see some dissension in the ranks. Eventually one of the two have to be pissed that they aren’t really the champion. AHHHHHH teams defending titles brings back memories of Demolition. I miss the WWF.
Bryan vs. Zigler Bryan shows us why he doesnt have to be in Nexus to be on TV. The kid is like a Dean Malenko-Chris Benoit hybrid or something. Love his skills but the lady’s man gimmick ehhhh hope that doesnt stick around too long. All of these Divas on the roster gotta give them a reason to be there I suppose
Kane vs Taker…. Hmmmmm Buried alive match hmmmmm….. I think its getting close to Taker’s swan song. Kane wins the match I have to admit I marked out when I saw Paul come back Kinda figured eventually he was going to turn on Taker for Kane but once again this feud really makes me miss old school WWF. The power of the urn is so classic.
