WWE Hell in a Cell 2011

It feels like it was just the other day when I posted a Roundtable, about two weeks to the day actually. It is the season where WWE pumps out three Pay-Per-Views at a rapid pace trying and praying their hardest that we don’t realize that they are all the same matches with (sometimes) a slightly different stipulation.

I was at the first Hell in a Cell back in 2009, as were the other three contributors to the predictions, and if there has been anything to say about the Hell in a Cell match itself is that it should always be treated as the end to a feud and not the mid-way point to a feud. This year’s Hell in a Cell (or HIAC) seems to at least have one of those in the John Cena/CM Punk/Alberto Del Rio triple treat match seems to have the feel of the end in the line of matches. The Randy Orton/Mark Henry HIAC doesn’t, I can only imagine there being at least one more match, especially seeing that next months Vengeance PPV features Mark Henry on the poster.

Anyway, here are our predictions for WWE’s Hell in a Cell 2011, let us know what you think and what your predictions are:

Cos’ WWE Hell in a Cell 2011 Predictions

Sin Cara vs Sin Cara

Not much has been said about this match, my feeling is that this will be the eye candy for the Pay Per View with a lot of high spots and some (hopefully) great lucha libre style moments. This feud will no doubt continue after this point in time as they proceed to build up the fake Sin Cara into whatever he is going to ultimately become. My thoughts would be to let the fake Sin Cara win this one, which will help to push it into Vengeance in two weeks.

Winner: Fake Sin Cara

Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix

Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship

Kelly Kelly is pretty to look at, she’s definitely improved her in ring work and they have been giving her a great run as Divas Champion, but I think it is about time they put the championship back on someone who can honestly wrestle a match. This whole feud reminds me of Trish VS Jazz and let me tell you Jazz won a lot of those matches against Trish. This one should end as such:

Winner and NEW Divas Champ: Beth Phoenix

Christian vs. Sheamus

The match of the single names! Is it just me or have they started calling Sheamus “The Great White” (I’m sure I’m missing a word in there somewhere). I feel like this is just a filler match and they are sending Christian into the jobber territory again with this match.

Winner: Sheamus

Mark Henry (c) vs. Randy Orton

Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship

Mark Henry is honestly a monster right now. I don’t see them taking the championship off of him and seeing that they are building Sheamus as a monster face, I can see them pitting Henry vs Sheamus very soon. Also, no reason for the championship to change hands just two weeks after it just happened.

Winner: Mark Henry

RUMORED: Air Boom (c) vs. Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler

Tag Team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship

The slow and steady rebuilding of the Tag Team division continues, this time with Koffi Kingston and Evan Bourne (best known now as Air Boom) going against Vickie Guerrero’s stable of Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler. I doubt they’ll change hands and they are just trying to build to an actual feud between Air Boom and another real Tag Team.

Winners: Air Boom

John Cena (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio

Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship

Reportedly they gave the Championship back to Cena due to low ratings and I can’t see them giving the championship back to Del Rio or to Punk after making such a big deal over the fact that Cena is the first ever 10-time WWE Champion. Because even if they did, inevitably it would go back to him eventually and they might as well just keep it on him for the time being.

Winner: John Cena

Sin Cara vs Sin Cara

Reminds me of Undertaker vs. Undertaker from Summerslam ’94. There’s no stipulation saying that the loser has to drop the gimmick. So my thinking is have the evil Sin Cara get over and ultimately form his own identity.

Winner: Bizarro Sin Cara

Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix
Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship

Kelly Kelly is the Divas version of John Cena. Has a good look but can’t work for shit. She’s not Trish Stratus or Alundra Blaze or even Fabulous Moolah. Drop the title after several lucky wins from the last few PPVs and let Beth get what’s due to her.

Winner and new Divas Champ: Beth Phoenix

Christian vs. Sheamus

As much as I love Christian, I can’t see the point of him winning. Sheamus is being built up at a time when Smackdown is lacking in the babyface department. Gotta go with the Celtic Warrior.

Winner: Sheamus

Mark Henry (c) vs. Randy Orton
Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship

Mark Henry is the World’s Scariest Kool-Aid Man. That will continue.

Winner: Mark Henry

RUMOR: Air Boom (c) vs. Jack Swagger and Dolph Ziggler
Tag Team match for the WWE Tag Team Championship

It’s nice to see tag teams slowly becoming important in the WWE again. Air Boom is on a roll and I like the off-beat combination of Swagger and Ziggler. But with Ziggler still US champion, I doubt the titles will change too soon.

Winners: Air Boom

John Cena (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio
Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship

Here’s the bottom line. Del Rio sucks as champ and Punk works better as a babyface chasing after the title than holding it. It won’t just be the homeless power ranger prevailing. It will be the corporate suits and the Little Jimmies of the world.

Winner: John Cena

Justice’s Hell in a Cell Predictions

WWE championship: CM Punk vs John Cena vs Alberto Del Rio:

with Survivor Series coming up, I cant see why the WWE would have any other person hold the title than Cena. You don’t want Cena to be the hunter with the Rock coming back in his first wrestling role in years, you want him to be the hunted… the champ. This is where Del Rio should have dropped the belt actually.
Winner: John Cena

Mark Henry vs. Randy Orton:

Unless the WWE is stupid, you don’t build a show around a guy and make him a monster for a one month title run
Winner: Mark Henry

Sheamus vs Christian:

Sheamus is on a role and should be Mark Henry’s next challenger. Christian is on yet another losing streak. I see that trend continuing.
Winner: Sheamus

Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara:

SIN CARA WINS!

Kelly Kelly vs Beth Phoenix:

Kelly’s over as divas champ. Right? She’s really getting over well, right? God the WWE can’t book the divas.
Winner: Kelly Kelly

Smark Central’s Hell in a Cell Predictions

John Cena (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio

Triple Threat Hell in a Cell match for the WWE Championship

What I want to see: Change. We were basically promised a change from the norm w/the emergence of Punk’s character, but we have yet to fully get it. Until I see a healthy 4 or 5 month reign from Punk, I refuse to believe true change is coming.
What we will see: Cena just won back the belt 2 weeks ago and that thing has been passed around this year more than a $2 whore. If it changes hands again you might as well re-name the Stephanie McMahon heavyweight championship. Cena wins

Mark Henry (c) vs. Randy Orton

Hell in a Cell match for the World Heavyweight Championship

What I want to see: Ok. I give up. Mark Henry has actually proved to be worthy of his spot. He plays monster heel well kind of like Kane did last year so I guess a few more weeks (hell they’ll be another PPV in 3 weeks anyway. Thanks, corporate greed) with him as champ will be good.
What we will see: So many PPVs, so many chances for WWE to get bored w/Henry and put the title back on Orton. However, I think Henry keeps for now.

Christian vs. Sheamus

Singles match

What I want to see: These two guys have been doing great work recently so hopefully they give them the time to have a great match. I’d prefer to see Christian get the win here, but honestly I’d be ok w/either outcome
What we will see: Sheamus seems primed for a big push and we never really did get an end to his feud w/Henry so I see Sheamus winning and moving up to challenge Henry

Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix

Singles match for the WWE Divas Championship

What I want to see: I HATE KELLY KELLY. This seriously has to be the worst year for Divas ever. Which is no surprise seeing as how the belt has been held by Eve, the bellas, and Kelly most of the year and at the same time releasing much more talented divas like Melina and Gail Kim. I’ll give her credit, she is much improved over a year ago, but she still could star in her own Botchamania. Please WWE, end the madness.
What we will see: If WWE has any soul they will put the belt on Beth and let her dominate the division like everyone knows she should.

Sin Cara vs Sin Cara

Singles match

What I want to see: I don’t care, I just don’t care. Mirror matches have always sucked and will continue to suck.
What we will see: Botching so bad it will make Sabu jealous

Air Boom Vs Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger.

Tag Team Championship

What I want to see: I’d like to see Ziggler Vs Ryder for the U.S. title, but maybe their actually going to give it a proper build up which would be nice. As for this match, Im just not digging Air Boom. Both guys are talented high flyers, but they just dont have personalities so I’d rather have the belts on two guys who can actually talk
What we will see: WWE likes to see Vickie scream so her team will probably lose.
