“New” Robocop Outfit?

With a new Robocop movie being filmed, I am seriously against all remakes, and I have been for quite some time. Remakes have a tendency to ruin what made the original so great (I however am a big fan of Reboots, (The Dark Knight series, Casino Royale) and they are not to be confused in any way.

Robocop is one of those movies/series that do not need to be remade (the original was directed by Paul Verhoven and it was an amazing piece of 80’s sci-fi) its like Total Recall from this past summer (which was also directed by Verhoven) a film that needed to not be remade because of how great the original incarnation was.

Anyway, word broke out yesterday that there are some images of what the new Robocop is going to look like, and here is one of them:

I spoke with Mother Brain yesterday when I saw these pics, we both have been very critical about this unnecessary remake (along with Total Recall) and he said it best, while sure that they’ll add some CG to the suit, Robocop just looks like a Power Ranger.

I’ll take it one step further, it looks as if Robocop and Batman got into a car accident…
