Back in 2012, Melissa and I went to Costa Rica for our 5 year wedding anniversary and there on a small island where we went to with a group of tourist we were delighted to meet a small family of Coati (kind of like Central/South American Racoons) and we fed them, one of which ate the food right out of my hand (you can see the link here: Feeding a Coati).
Fast forward 2 years and on our 7 year anniversary we are in Mexico and there was a small family of Coati that we would occasionally see. On this one day we decided to feed them, despite the fact that we saw signs clearly stating not to feed them.
