I love Mental_Floss, I think its a great website. I discovered them long before I can remember stumbling upon Cracked.com which they are both much better written than BuzzFeed will ever care to be, but I know that BuzzFeed will bump them all off because of how frequently BF is actually updated as opposed to the other two. But what Mental_Floss and Cracked.com have are credibility. And I for one really enjoy both of their articles.

This one in particular, it is about the truth behind “How Prolific Rabbits Are” came from Mental_Floss and was sent to me in an email. I took it upon myself to search their site for the actual page and here is a snippet:

The real wow factor of rabbit reproduction is how fast they get around to breeding, and how often they can do it. The average rabbit reaches sexual maturity at 3-8 months old, and they have the rest of their 9-to-12+ years to get it on (though egg/sperm production drops off at around 3 years).
