Melissa and I are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of David McCausland. Many people might not know who he is, but he is the reason why we have Cassie and Chloe. He and his wife, Ginger, owned the two amazing Golden Retrievers, Kowliga (better known as Liga) and Tyler, the parents to our two girls.
They took great care of our girls in the early few weeks of their lives. Cassie was born in Mine Hill where the McCausland’s lived for another two years and we often went over to their house so her and her mom could play while Mr. McCausland would tell us the story of when she was born and his travels through the years.
We kept in touch after they moved to Alabama, so when he called and said Liga was expecting another litter of course we said “we’ll take one!”. A couple months later he drove Chloe Alabama all the way up to NJ the week before Christmas! The rest is history!
Melissa has kept in contact with Mr. McCausland over the last seven years, frequently sending emails and Facebook messages about our two girls. While we may have only know Mr. McCausland briefly, we will forever be grateful for all he did for us and all the joy those two Golden Retrievers have brought into our lives.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family, his wife, friends and to Liga.
