Back to Reality IPA from Three 3’s

I don’t usually post anything on the blog about beer, but, I’m a fan of IPAs.

If you don’t know what an IPA is I’d say they are more bitter and hoppier than regular beers.

For further definition I looked it up:

If you don’t drink beer, you may not know what “IPA” stands for. Shutterstock. India Pale Ales originated in England and are brewed and sold all over the world. “IPA” is an initialism for India Pale Ale, a hoppy style of beer within the pale ale category.

Anyway, if you don’t know a lot of the beer I drink are mostly from craft breweries. And since I’m in the mood to look up definitions…

A craft brewery or microbrewery is a brewery that produces small amounts of beer, typically much smaller than large-scale corporate breweries, and is independently owned. Such breweries are generally characterized by their emphasis on quality, flavor, and brewing technique. Wikipedia

A lot of the beers from a craft brewery have very creative names.

Last weekend (Memorial Day Weekend) I came across a ‘Back to the Future’ inspired beer names Back to Reality.

Took this picture with the fans on top of a washing machine. Wanted the cans on a nice white background!

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a HUGE ‘Back to the Future’ fan.

Back to Reality by Three 3’s Brewing Company from Hammonton, NJ.

Back to Reality is a “A bright IPA in the truest sense. Heavy additions of wheat and oats create a lush mouthfeel. We walloped this one with some of our favorite American hops (Amarillo, Mosaic and Simcoe) in the whirlpool and dry hop. Notes of ripe orange peel, fresh picked tangerine and citrus. An all-day crusher that won’t tire the palate.” Just reading this makes me so thirsty for another one.

On the Untappd app (anyone who drinks beer can rate beers on this app) I rated this a 4.25 out of 5. And this isn’t even a biased rating because I love ‘Back to the Future’.

If I find Back to Reality again I may even rate it higher.
