I haven’t yet seen Saw II, but its on that long list of movies to watch, I just saw War of the Worlds and I loved it, so as you can see I’m a little far behind. Tonight I might even add Wedding Crashers to the long list of movies that I need to see before next summer (or the end of the world may be upon us)…anyway, has an article up about the third Saw movie:

Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are moving ahead with the third installment in the “Saw” horror franchise says Reuters.

The two companies will develop and produce “Saw III,” with Darren Lynn Bousman (“Saw II”) returning to direct and an October 27th release schuedled.

Leigh Whannell penned the “Saw III” screenplay based on a story by the first filmmakers Whannell and James Wan. The franchise’s storyline revolves around people who must mutilate themselves in horrible ways if they want to escape a serial killer’s lair.

Sounds cool, I’ll check out Saw II before I obviously see Saw III and if Saw II is better than the first one (I liked the first one, just didnt’ have time to go see the second one) then I’ll check it out.
