Megan Fox sought for Fathom

Fathom was a comic book that I read religiously when I was younger and I stopped right when I went to college (back in 2000–that dates me I guess…)but the comic itself didn’t stick around for too long after that as the series creator, writer and artist Mike Turner found out he had cancer. It returned a few years later and was restarted from the beginning with a new artist and Turner writing. I’m happy that they’ve found a way to bring this to the screen and I hope it works out (not too long ago–probably between four or five years (maybe that is a long time really)–they were considering to make this into a CG movie). I honestly can’t think of a better person to play Aspen (the main character in Fathom) the nMegan Fox.

“Transformers” actress Megan Fox is being sought to star in the feature adaptation of the late Michael Turner’s comic book “Fathom” for Fox Atomic reports The IESB.

The story centers on a young woman named Aspen who goes on a water-based adventure after discovering she’s part of a race of aquatic humanoids named The Blue.

Fox is currently seeking writers for the film which has been in development with James Cameron’s Lightstorm Entertainment and seemed to have fallen apart due to scripting issues.
