‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ initial thoughts

I enjoyed the reboot. Far exceeding Tim Burton’s 2001 “re-imagining”, it was a legitimate starting point, the smartest place for them to begin a new series, fresh and updated.

I’ve been a fan of the Apes movies since the 90’s when they had their 30th anniversary VHS editions, ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes” is based on “Conquest for the Planet of the Apes”, the 4th out of 5 movies in the original series. They did a great job with it.

Probably the best movie that I’ve heard great things about that lived up to expectations. I hope to see a sequel sometime soon.
