First image from “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”

I don’t know what to think about this image:

I’ll be honest, I really enjoyed “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” (is there a reason why they insist on have “of the” repeated twice in these titles?) and I am glad they were able to finally reboot this nicely and in a very realistic way. Not unlike the stupid re-imagining that Tim Burton did back in 2001.

When I first saw this image, I thought it was pretty cool, it is the direction that Caesar and the rest of the Apes will be going in. But after reading some of the comments on some of the pages, a lot of people thought this was laughable and I have to agree in some way.

It is still hard to imagine an Ape being able to hold a gun let alone use it properly. I know it the world that this movie takes place in Caesar is pretty much a human, but it is still just a difficult concept and I hope it gets pulled off well.

What do you think about it?
