Front moving in

Back in the summer of 2000 I was a valet and would park cars at a wedding venue. One early evening I was sitting outside in between rushes of people coming in and leaving and this gentleman came out for some fresh air.

He pointed up at the sky and said, “a fronts moving in”.

Not understanding I questioned what he said and he pointed again at the sky and describes how the clouds looked like fish bones, like the image below

He went on to say that it isn’t a science but 99% of the time when you see the fish bone clouds in the sky it usually means that within the next day or so a front is moving in.

I’ve always kept that in mind when I see these types of clouds in the sky. And tomorrow we are supposed to be getting some weather.
