The next Alex Cross Novel

Not too many of you out there read novels too much, but I do every now and then and last year I got on a James Patterson kick and read four of his Alex Cross novels. Alex Cross is the detective played by Morgan Freeman in Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls. I’ve read six out of the ten (Pop Goes the Weasel, Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Four Blind Mice, The Big Bad Wolf, and Lodon Bridges–if you haven’t noticed these books all have nursery rhyme names, but they are mystery thillers that are far more graphic and violent than their titles allow them to sound) that he out and I would like to read the other four.

I found out that the next one is called Mary Mary. Here is a very very very brief description of what it is about from barnesandnobel.com:

A serial killer calling herself Mary Smith has it in for Hollywood stars-and emails blistering descriptions of their death to the editor of the Los Angeles Times. Looks like a case for Alex Cross. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

Sounds like it has potential. I was very disappointed in the last book. I’m not going to get into it, but I felt that Jame Patterson tried to make it bigger than what a Alex Cross novel should be and should take a lot of care in Mary Mary and make sure it is a very good follow up.

I’ll probably wait for this to be a Christmas present, because I have a long list of books that I have to read and I usually wait till the school year starts to start reading, why should I read all those stupid text books right?

Lets hope its good.
