Commercial shot at the school I worked at this year

Not really a funny commercial or anything, but it was shot at the school I worked at this year. One of the teachers I work with sent me a text to look it up. Honestly, if it wasn’t because she told me and because I was looking extra hard to see that it was the school I wouldn’t have even noticed. But it is, check it out:

yeah, everywhere that I’ve been we’ve had our own bathroom. imagine that as a kid going into the bathroom and seeing a teacher there. I’d be so uncomfortable…

Have you ever met one of your teachers at a store or something? Like, people are surprised that their teachers exist outside of school.

I guess it would be kinda like that.

Yeah, I haven’t seen any of my kids outside of school (thank god) but I know the feeling. I’ve heard stories though. And apparently the younger the kid is the more chances of them thinking that you sleep at the school.

Okay, main character is a spy for the CIA. One day, on a mission, he finds out that he’s been kicked out. A burn notice is when a spy organization cannot rely on you anymore, so they cut you off entirely.

He finds himself back in his hometown of Miami, Florida. No money, no job, no credit history, nothing. Just a couple of friends, and the family that he left behind when he joined the CIA.

He’s now looking to clear his name, find out who burned him and get back into the CIA. He does A-Team type jobs in the meantime for money, all while getting closer to what exactly happened to him, and why.

It’s a lot like MacGyver and the A-Team mixed together, but it’s smart and doesn’t hand everything to you. That, and Bruce Campbell plays the main character’s best friend, which adds some excellent humor to the show. I highly recommend it, I don’t think I’ve enjoyed any other show quite as much as this.

Check out the first two shows online, if you get the chance – you’ll know after a couple if this is really your thing or not.

LOL yeah. My mom was a teacher, so it was kinda weird when people knew her as my mom, but it was also weird when kids only knew her as the school librarian.

She left the school one year, and at Halloween, kids came to the door and saw my mom in the kitchen (which is all the way in the back of the house, but visible from the front door). They shouted her name, and she came to the front door and said hello. Was kinda nice, a lot of the younger ones really liked her.

I always saw MacGuyver and A-Team as the same show except that one was a guy doing it and the other was a team doing it. I loved those shows. I’ll try and check it out. Didn’t the new season start or something?

K-8, and the little ones were really fond of her (she’d read to them and stuff). The older ones didn’t like how she didn’t take shit, haha…and assigned research papers by the time they got to 8th grade.

It’s always neat to see kids waving to her around the neighborhood.

How old are the ones you’re teaching? 🙂

I think they are starting to air commericals during the shows that are seen on line, I guess they still want to get paid while your viewing it on their time. But if I buy DVDs I don’t want to see commercials you know.

Have you seen Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles?

  9. flammable says:

The first season is on DVD, but I’m too cheap for that. 🙂

I haven’t seen the Terminator series, I don’t really follow it…I know, I know. Maybe one day I’ll see the movies all the way through.

By going home curling up in a little ball in a corner and crying. It really sucks. But sadly, at the end of the day, I just don’t have the energy to keep going and doing anything different.

I would love to write at night, but even now during the summer I’ve gotten into such a routine of going to bed at a certain time that I’m down and out by around eleven.

gasp! Pirates and Terminator? Well, the first Terminator isn’t as good as a lot of people lead to believe it was. I know, I bought it recently to show Melissa before the season of Sarah Connor started and it was early 80’s at its worst. I’m sure, and I said it before to some people, if it wasn’t for Terminator 2 being the 100% high quality that it was of a sequel, no one would ever remember the Terminator at all.

But that leads me to yet another potential movie franchise. Pirates vs Terminator.

  12. flammable says:

Pirates and Terminator? I guess I’d have to sit that one out.

I dunno, I guess I’d have to see the first Terminator, which you say isn’t good, then the second one, etc. And the third one, which apparently they’ve written away with the TV show? Like, apparently the TV shows acts as if T3 never happened, because it was so bad.

Meh. Maybe I’ll just watch the Pirates movies, since they’re all apparently badass. 🙂

  13. flammable says:

Hey, on the bright side, you’ve got the sleep stuff worked out. I’m still messing around with that, it’s hard to go to bed at night sometimes.

  14. socramforever says:

T3 was written away by the show but Teminator: Salvation takes place after T3 and has some of its characters in it. So, take your pick. They are apparently all on different timelines anyway, or something…
