It is with sincere sadness that I write about the sudden passing of Richard Sost, Melissa’s Uncle. Better known as Rick, he loved his family most importantly his Mother. He always made me feel welcome in the large family gatherings that the Doty-Sost households would hold through the various times of the year.

Rick was able to pursue his dream of working in the food industry after he reitred from his 30 years of service as an administrator in one of New Jersey’s school districts. He was the owner of Dad Can Cook, PCS (Personal Chef Service) and he loved to share his skill with whomever needed it, and from my recollection he would always bring plenty of food to those family functions I mentioned above.   Also, it was through his connections that Melissa and I were able to find the Winery that we were able to have our rehearsal dinner.

Rick always had the love of his family and those close to them at heart. I am still in utter shock and disbelief about all this. As I write this, I am readying myself to travel down to South Jersey to be with Melissa and her family. Please keep them in your thoughts.
