It is rare for a DVD/Blu-ray, music album, video game or book to come out on a Friday and those releases are usually left for special occasions; the majority of those media formats usually come out on Tuesdays. So, Star Wars coming out on Blu-ray should be considered on of those special occasions even though it is currently going through a lot of controversy and fan outcry over the George Lucas touch ups that have been going on since the first movie came out back in 1977.
