By now I hope those of you reading understand I have a love for podcasts. I have a select few that are favorites and some that I listen to on a regular basis. Also, I’m a really big fan of Conspiracies (Thanks ‘X-Files’!) so it was only a matter of time that I found something like ‘Stuff They Don’t Want You To Know’ (STDWYTK).

conspiracy-logoI’ve listened to this great podcast on and off for quite some time, created by the extremely smart people over at ‘How Stuff Works’ they have a plethora of other great ‘Stuff’ podcasts to choose from, like ‘Stuff You Should Know’, ‘Stuff You Missed In History Class’, and ‘Stuff Mom Never Told You’. But this one really hits it home for me. The opening tag line for the show explains it all:

“From UFOs to Ghost and Government Coverups; history is riddled with unexplained events. You can turn back now or learn the Stuff they don’t want you to know…”

What I like most about ‘STDWYTK’ is that they don’t hound you into believing either side of a story. They lay out all aspects of the conspiracy or unexplained event and allow you to do your own research and come up with your own opinion. Hosted by Ben Bowlin and Matt Frederick with super producer Noel Brown, these guys give you some great research podcasts for your listening pleasure. You can listen to any of their podcasts on iTunes.

There is also their YouTube page, Conspiracy Stuff YouTube, which has some great complimentary videos to accompany their podcasts. You can also go to their website, nicely title stufftheydontwantyoutoknow.com which has all of their podcasts ever and videos, blogs and a bunch of other information.

I have also been enamored with their opening theme, I love the way it sounds and how dark and ominous it is. So, I looked it up to see if it had been placed anywhere and sure enough someone had put it up on Sound Cloud and I just needed to listen to it while I was writing this piece.

So, if you happen to enjoy podcasts and you love conspiracies as much as I do, please check out this great show in the variety of forms that it has taken online!
