‘Dead to Me’ season 2: TV review

Spoilers are ahead!

Off the top of my head:

  • Christina Applegate is always great!
    • Happy that this series is back for season 2 and hope (especially with the season finale) it gets picked up for season 3
    • I’ve watched her over the years since Married with Children and it’s fantastic to see her range as an actor
  • Linda Cardellini is great as Judy
    • Here is someone who has really been an underrated actor and is almost never in the main role like she is here
    • She spent many years in ensemble shows and movie or throw away but parts
    • She has range and you can see it when you look at her filmography
  • I don’t think I could have picked two better people to lead this show
  • James Marsden, another great addition to this series
    • I didn’t know how I felt about him being brought back as his character’s twin brother from the first season
      • Made me think of City Slickers 2 and how they brought Jack Palance back
    • But he did a great job of separating these two characters and made each their own
    • You can see the difference when they have flashbacks
    • Really thought he was going to be killed off because the people that were after his twin brother (who is dead at the beginning of this season) would mistake him for his brother
  • Felt the police officer that lets Christina Applegate go was a bit unbelievable
  • Really hoping they bring this series back for a third season want to see how they wrap out the accident at the end of this season

Would I recommend this: I would recommend anyone with some time on their hands to watch season 1 and 2 back to back.

Let me know what you think about ‘Dead to Me’!
