The Jetsons coming soon

The Jetsons the movie…didn’t that already come out? No, that was just the animated one that sucked (just in case you don’t remeber it: The studios have been trying to get this one out since around the time of the first Flintstones. I for some reason always saw the father from Full House being able to play a good George Jetson. But I think, like the Flintstones, they’ll probably mess this up and make it mostly for kids. But whatever.

JETSONS Still Flying Toward the Big Screen
Dateline: Thursday, April 14, 2005

The big screen version of THE JETSONS is still in the works. It is being reported that Sam Harper has written a draft of the script for the live-action JETSONS’ feature film. Adam Shankman is set to direct. Denise Di Novi will produce.

Rumor has it that Warner Bros. is looking to cast Steve Martin as George Jetson.

The film will be a mix of live-action and CGI. It is currently scheduled to come out in 2006.

Steve Martin has the look, but he has never really been all that funny. I guess he would be good for the family market that loves him so much.

Oh well.

Hopefully they don’t fuck this one up.

  1. They’ll probably mess it up. Oh well.

Steve Martin, eh? Sounds interesting, I suppose. You’re right, if they could get Bob Saget that would fit better.

They just need a tall, skinny wimp. 🙂

  2. I completely agree, Bob Saget would definately be the better George Jetson. But we’ll see. I probably wouldn’t even see the film anyway.
