Britney Spears as the Virgin Mary?

There is always one of these rumors flying around. I remember not too long ago a rumor that some producer wanted Paris Hilton for something like the Virgin Mary or Mother Teresa or something like that. This one is no different. I don’t see it getting off the ground…but its fun to watch some people try to come up with something controversial.

Fox News reports that French producer Phillippe Rebboah (“The Guitar”) is reportedly planning to start shooting a satire entitled “Sweet Baby Jesus” in March and wants Britney Spears to play the Virgin Mary.

“Spears, 26, would play a pregnant 19-year-old unsure of her baby’s paternity who goes into labor on Christmas Eve in Bethlehem, Md., as rumors swirl that the birth is Jesus Christ’s second coming. Uhad to convince my partners, because they were like, ‘Oh, no. Britney?’ But I thought it was brilliant” said Rebboah whilst talking to US Weekly.

Although the producer told the mag that Spears was “reviewing the script,” sources for Spears claim the chances of Brit taking the part are zilch. Calls to Brit’s representatives were not returned.

Britney Spears is just a mess right now. Not attractive. Nothing. She just needs to leave for a little bit and return. When Mariah Carrey had a breakdown a few years ago she disappeared and when she returned she came back with a fresh start and a great CD. So, Britney just needs to take note of that. And forget any of this Modonna type shenanigans.
