In Memory of Rick Sost

I tried to write an update on Rick a few times, but I really couldn’t figure out who best to do it. I figured I should just try and write some updates on what the family has been doing in his memory now after the viewing and the mass have happened. So, for those who have come across my blog while googling Rick please carfefully look at the following:

  • First of all, the family has enrolled in Brad Pitt’s New Orleans foundation: Make it Right Foundation; the foundation allows people to donate money in an effort to raise enough to build a house in New Orleans in Rick’s memory. (So, as was written by the family: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rick Sost’s House, through the Make it Right Foundation New Orleans. Go to the website, click donate now and look under Team Sponsored Houses. Donations may be mailed to Rick Sost’s House, Make it Right, PO Box 58009, New Orleans, LA 70158.)
  • Also, the funeral home was able to put pictures and a movie up on, which I’ve never heard of  but I think it is a great way to reach many people. The family did a great job picking out pictures and it was a really nice seeing this one location to view many different things about Rick, you can also leave a message to the family on here.
  • Next, if you are on facebook and you are looking for another place to leave a message, you can go to the Richard Sost Memorial Page. Unfortunately, you may have to sign up to leave a comment, if you are not already a memeber, but if you are it is a good place to leave your notes to the family.

Any other questions, please leave a comment and I will try to answer (or better yet–find out the answer) for you and get back to you as soon as I can.
