RAW, The Beginning: The Best of Seasons 1 & 2

Just saw this, didn’t see it advertised too much, but I’m posting it because this makes me happy. While I might not buy the Seasons 1 & 2 DVD, simply because I wasn’t watching until late 98- early 99, and don’t really care to see matches that took place in the early 90’s, I am happy at the fact that they are finally putting something like this out on the market.

I know that hoping for WWE to put out a (HUGE) DVD collection of every Raw from a given season isn’t marketable simply because of money issues (the price for the collection for one season would be astronomical! 52 weeks worth of shows between 1-3 hours long!) but I’m glad that they are finally putting the best of the seasons. I’ll definitely want to look into anything past 1997, when the Attitude Era was in full boom.

On the note of Raw finally getting a DVD series…let’s talk WCW Nitro…put some of that out there as well. I find that WCW is not loved in the WWE. For obvious reasons. But they should try and highlight their former competitors matches a lot more.

I remember buying the WWE Ladder match DVD a few years ago and they only had one WCW ladder match. Why not add more WCW ladder matches, why not add any ECW ladder matches. And for that matter, WWE boasts about having the biggest wrestling library in the world, why not have ladder matches from all over!

But I digress. The following is from wrestling-radio.com:
