Has anyone else noticed that there are a lot of # 4 sequels coming out soon or being made? Lets see: Live Free and Die Hard (Die Hard 4), Rambo 4, Indiana Jones 4, Jurassic Park 4, just to name a few?
Anyway, here is some news on T4 and the Hobbit:
from Darkhorizons.com…and man has it been a while since they’ve had something good to post:

Author: Garth FranklinMGM chief operating officer Rick Sands talked about “Terminator 4” and “The Hobbit” while at ShowEast this week reports Slashfilm.
Sands says that T4 will have a new title and not a number, going with the recent poll which confirms moviegoers prefer new titles over numbers. As for someone else taking over for Arnie – “It’s like the ‘Batman’ or ‘Superman’ franchise in that it lends itself to having different actors in the roles”.
Sands also confirmed that talks are underway with New Line Cinema to obtain the rights to produce TWO prequel films to “The Lord of the Rings”, based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit”.
I don’t know how I feel about a different name being placed on the Terminator title. I think they should try and stay with Terminator and a subtitle if they aren’t going to use the number but don’t stray too far away. I mean I know that Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are still part of the Batman franchise. Superman Returns wasn’t part of the series because it was a slight restart and I’m sure that Superman 5 twenty years after the last movie may have just thrown people off. I do not however like Live Free or Die Hard, it is probably the worst of all the names for a sequel that they possibly could have made up and I hope that by the time they start to advertise for it they change it to Die Hard 4: Live Free or Die Hard, which would be a fine title (just like Die Hard 2: Die Harder).
The Hobbit will suck if Peter Jackson isn’t on board as at least a writer or producer, let alone director. If he isn’t in on this they are going to completely mess it up.
