Just saw this on wrestlezone.com and I got really excited. I haven’t posted much about Hulk Hogan signing with TNA (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling which was founded by Jeff Jarrett), but I think this kind of changes the landscape…

Backstage News On TNA Going Head-To-Head With RAWby Matt Boone
Dec 06, 2009
The following is an update from Dave Meltzer’s www.F4WOnline.com:
“TNA announced last night on the UFC show that Hulk Hogan’s debut would be on a three-hour live Impact special from Orlando airing on a Monday night, 1/4. That show will also be replayed on Thursday night from 8-11 p.m. that week. The original idea was a two hour special from 8-10 p.m., figuring they’d get the first hour jump on Raw. However, they figured WWE would counter by going to USA and asking for a third hour that night, so they may as well go all three. We’ll see if WWE responds. It’s right now a onetime experiment but if the ratings are significantly up from normal, it would likely lead to going live Mondays every week.”
I don’t know if Hulk Hogan would be the reason why TNA would receive a rating increase, but simply because they are going head-to-head with WWE might get people interested. I just hope I get to see both Raw and Impact that week, that’s the one thing I hate about my DVR it only records two things at a time…
