Seems as if the remakes are off to a slow start. This isn’t the 80’s anymore and these franchises aren’t “Saw” who was able to go seven straight years of making sequel after sequel. I saw the new Friday the 13th movie and aside from some nudity (sorry people, really classy of me) I didn’t think there was anything to see in this movie. As for Freddy, I have seen Nightmare on Elm Street (remake) yet and it is up next on my Netflix queue. But even then, I’m sure with my feelings towards recasting the part and the fact that it is a remake, will make me not like this movie…glad Platinum Dunes is busy at work on “Ouija” and a “TMNT” reboot…I was worried for a minute, I thought we might actually get something original…

The future of the “Elm Street” franchise however isn’t looking as rosy – “As for Freddy, as far as I know, there isn’t even talk of writing another script.”
